Joomla!MUG, the official site for the Joomla! Melbourne User Group, has joined forces with the Sydney User Group, heading towards an Australia wide Joomla community.

Components 101 - Sydney User Group

Last week I learnt how to get started on writing my own component.

September's Sydney User Group meeting happened to be on while I was up there for work, so I called by last Tuesday to meet some Joomla folk in the Emerald City and see what Greg had to teach us about writing components.

Joomla 1.5 Training in Melbourne

Andrew Eddie (Joomla core developer) and Dinah Randall are going to be running some Joomla 1.5 training events for Joomla implementors/designers/developers (as opposed to end users, who come later). They are currently going for one-day events in Sydney and Brisbane, and are also open to running one in Melbourne, if there is demand.

Melbourne User Group meets again

We will be having our next meeting on Thu, 23 August at 6:30pm at Food Inc in 360 Elisabeth St. This meeting is for developers as well as end users, and whoever is curious about Joomla is evenly welcome. Please register through the event list or contact me directly.
